The Preacher... best show on TV since "Breaking Bad".... period.

loved it. After watching Talk Preacher. (the guy who plays eugene is annoying as hell). It helped me to understand. The comic starts off with the town blowing up and them searching to find God.
Season 1 was basically the prequel to the start of the comic. I just had the library mail me the first Preacher.

I really liked the season, going to re-watch the finale with some of the context in mind you mentioned. Also, will check out the after show.
Yeah, I loved the show, but I'm still not fully understanding it. Basically Season 2 is going start off where the comic starts. I think they did that to lessen the confusion.
Apparently the best character hasn't even been introduced yet. Hair Star is supposedly the best character. But I gotta say. I love Cassidy and Quincannon.

Really enjoyed the entire season, and thought the finale was great. Heading out of town on a short trip soon, and ordered Preacher: Book 1 and Book 2 to take along as reading material. I think they cover the first 24 or so comics in the series.
I tried to like this show. Quit after 4th show. It's not Fearing the Walking Dead bad but it's close
