We’ve seen it countless times, a team rolls into town with an average shooting percentage then proceeds to shoot the lights out. I think this is a testament to how revered Rupp Arena is in college basketball.

I’ve seen several interviews with opposing players that have stated it was a childhood dream and honor to play in Rupp. When you know you’re gonna be playing in that kind of environment, you step up your game. Thoughts?

We've all seen this so many times, like when a bad shooting Arkansas team came in here last season & shot the lights out. I'll never forget the time that I heard a national announcer it might have been Gus Johnson when he called Rupp Arena The Mecca Of College Basketball. Stuff like this is the reason that Kentucky is the biggest game on any team's schedule. It's an honor.

it is an honor BUT, Memorial Coliseum WAS the Mecca and the greatest college basketball venue in its pre-1976 configuration. It’s a shame that many true UK fans never were able to witness a game there
