I don't see what the big deal is.

We have ten losses. Last season when we were the strongest conference in the history of college basketball we had six losses by this date.

Variations gonna happen.

That's true. I think it's more the conference record against P5 teams that bother me. Because if we struggle in a weakened SEC that's not gonna bode well.

BUT

That's a bit of a ways off and lots of basketball to be played

Nice to see the SEC sort of come back to earth. I want it to test us and provide good competition, but we dont need it to be THAT good.

Also glad to see Calipari continuing his tradition of losing to Champion Classic teams early in the year
We should want it harder. What good is drumming down the SEC
I'm fine with the SEC not being as good this season. Every game was killer last season with even the bottom group being able to put up a strong fight.
I’m old school. The harder the better. These games mean nothing once the tourney starts. We see this every year. A SEC team with 1-2 loses til SEC play starts then they lose.

After the bs bloodsport contact sec officials were allowing last yr. I hope the sec is kind of down this year to save some of the players from injury. Screw the SEC hope they all lose.

It's not the total losses (now 11).

It's that at this time last year, the conference had a LOT of good wins against other P5 schools. This year, they have lost almost every one.

Because theres no reason to play the hardest schedule. A good schedule, sure.
