The records of SEC East where Georgia plays the bulk of their conference schedule
are 8-4, 7-6 7-6 4-7 5-7 4-8. Their Out Of Conference Schedule was Appalachian State & Samford and Georgia Tech with a losing record and they beat Notre Dame by a single point. ND has been stomped in 2 of their last 3 games to end the regular season.

These are the teams Georgia built their season stats on.....weak teams in conference and weak teams out of conference.9 of their 12 wins came from weak teams.

The SEC West is 10 times stronger than the SEC East.

Regarding the Auburn game...

Auburn had been on an insanely hot stretch before the championship game, having beaten two #1 teams in the weeks before.

I have this theory (unproven, of course) that teams who have been on really stretches of play, that appear to be playing above what they've formerly been doing, are just waiting for a fall. That's why I picked georgia to win over Auburn.

I'd be more impressed by season results against whowherewhen and I see the Sooners as better in that regard.

Vol fan here. Congratulations on your season. Sorry about the loss. Game changed with the squib kick. But I still thought you had UGA when you went up late. Didn't understand the play calls late though. Still think the block was a missed call.

As for Georgia, it's a tough loss. But they have as much talent as Bama. And everyone in the SEC recruits to play against Bama's pro style offense and their hybrid 3-4 defense. Oklahoma has the right personnel and system to cause problems for both UGA and Bama. You certainly proved that tonight.

I wish you good luck next season!
