Woeful record against other P6 conferences if you count the Mountain West and Big East.
Should be a wide open season this year with much less of a gauntlet in league play.
That's cute. Even down a bit, it will still be a war.

Did we lose that one year to Ole Miss when Henderson played for them?

You know, he was like a superhero for Ole Miss and the mighty UK showed up there and Im still scratching my head, who won that game?

17 losses now
All 17 against the P6 and Gonzaga
9-17 against that group of teams

Barely hanging onto the #1 spot in the KenPom conference tiers.

The conference is unquestionably down after a banner year. Alabama has held up its end of the bargain but nearly every other team is either disappointing or untested.

Tennessee will show what they're made of this week with Houston in Vegas.
Auburn is about to run a gauntlet with Oregon and Michigan.
Alabama will play Gonzaga.
Arkansas is playing Duke on Thanksgiving.

Not a good look for the conference so far, but still time to make some moves.

It seems to me, with all the money now involved in programs, there are far more games between the top programs. People don't want to see their NIL$$$ spent to watch a bunch of meaningless, lackluster games. Perhaps the men's game has taken cues from what the women have been doing for years. I am very glad to see bigtime match-ups all around ... BRING IT !!

Also I just don't think this matters all that much. Whether we are 1st or 3rd or 4th.............u just don't want to be at the bottom of the barrel

The main thing is whether or not there's enough resume building games on the schedule and there's really nothing that's going to happen in the non conference that's going to change that. Aside from the major non conference games UK still has, there is plenty of chances in conference to improve our resume.

The other thing with the whole conference strength thing is they factor everyone in the conference. Which is fine. Thats how it should be calculated.

But no one really cares if the 12th best SEC team is better than the 12th best ACC team lol

For YEARS the Big 12 always rated out highly in this regard but for the most part it had to do with the fact they had no terrible teams at the bottom (much easier to do when you had in that conference just 10 teams for the longest time), than the actual really good teams at the top.

In other words, I think it's almost better from a resume perspective to play in a "top heavy" conference than a balanced one. But that's just my theory on that.

True but Henderson did thump us in the Being So Ice Cold I Talked Trash To Erin Andrews AtHer Hottest category. So I basically consider it a draw.
Think he had like 21 on 5/19 shooting.. Was the "ice" game where he threw ice on fans after they threw it on him.. Noel had a dozen blocks..

Actually, I've had this name on the KSR/CI boards since 2001.

And the SEC now has 19 losses.

He was well established before I got here, and I've been here since 2005. Stats just didn't come over in the transition apparently.

The SEC has 25 losses now.

They have really struggled against top 100 or better competition.

43 of the leagues 84 wins have come against teams ranked 250 or below.
