Awesome article on Dez Bryant. You can't help but feel for the guy, with a childhood as tough as his. The NCAA certainly didn't have the best interest of the student athlete in mind in his case.

If Dez would have told the truth, it might have been different. I don't know how many times it takes players and coaches to understand, if you lie to the NCAA, they will get you.

No doubt, I've always had a soft spot for guys like John Wall, Gerald Fitch, and Boogie, as well. The thing those guys had that Dez didn't though is a strong mother. Dez's mother had it worse even than he did.
