For gear, the standard maximum is 2 years. For cutting a coach slack, the buffer extends to 5 years.I always wondered, how far back is too far back to recognize a championship?

At UK, yes. In fact, that's the maximum allowable inter-title interval to be considered a success.A coach needs to win a title EVERY 5 years to be considered successful?
