Yes, PWOs and all non scholarship players have access as well. NU had a pwo Qb enter the portal this year. The OSU's backup Qb entered yesterday and is highly rated non scholarship player. Is that true? We have 130 or so programs with 85 scholarships per school. Even if you include the three service academies, the total population of scholarship players is right around 11,000. If we are approaching 3,000 in the portal that would mean that over 25% of all scholarship players are looking to transfer.
Maybe non-scholarship players are allowed to use the portal. I'm not exactly sure how that works.
He's the third OSU scholarship QB to bolt. Basically, it's become no different than changing your major (for those of them that attend class.../s).Yes, PWOs and all non scholarship players have access as well. Of course, the FBS programs can't absorb 3k kids plus incoming Freshmen. A ton of them will go back where they started or go FCS.
Exactly, especially at some of the higher end programs. Teams like Alabama, Georgia, Clemson and OSU will just say adios and recruit someone just as good or betterOnly a small percentage will go back where they started. The majority are not welcomed back.
Would, for example, Joseph be welcomed back?Only a small percentage will go back where they started. The majority are not welcomed back.
Joseph definitely isn’t in the majority.Would, for example, Joseph be welcomed back?
Probably yes. CB came back. Exploring and signing are different.Would, for example, Joseph be welcomed back?
That’s their problem. They made the choice to enter the portal. Better believe in yourself and more importantly other schools better perceive you as a viable scholarship player if you plan on taking the risk.A significant unintended consequence of the transfer portal - I bet many of these "students" never enroll anywhere else - playing career AND college career both over, whereas under the old system they would have sat on the bench for years, maybe gotten in on plays here or there, and maybe possibly gotten their degree. Obviously there are many different stories that go in every direction, but this is definitely going to be an unfortunate outcome for many.
I think a lot of the most successful programs "nudge" their bench players into the portal. That’s their problem. They made the choice to enter the portal. Better believe in yourself and more importantly other schools better perceive you as a viable scholarship player if you plan on taking the risk.

Thank you. Do you know if Fitz is trying to incent him to stay, given how much he loves turnovers in our favor. He would. He’Bert, Rivers, Edwards, Krause, Blake and Whitaker would not.

Joseph reflects a serious failure, as did Skoronski. The positive is NU is a great preparation for playing at ND. Wow. just wow, and to think we have beaten them 2 of our last three games. Will there ever be a next time? He’s headed to South Bend.

"You know, I wasn't going to say this, but there you go again." When you are NU, you don't fritter away what advantage you have.“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.”
You mean Skowronek (whew). I had a mild panic attack and started Googling thinking something happened with Skoronski.Joseph reflects a serious failure, as did Skoronski.
