Wow. I hope we truly are as good as advertised, the upcoming schedule looks to be a brutal one.

What are the games know of?

Kansas in the Champions Classic
UNLV
I'm not sure what preseason event Duke is in, and who the other teams are (I'm sure that's already established)

HOF Classic we play Penn State and then Cincinnati/Rhode Island winner. Big Ten Challenge - not sure, but probably a road game against either Indiana, Wisconsin, or Michigan State.

Also, looks like we're playing in the Jimmy V Classic against Florida - and then taking on the Purdue/Arizona State winner. I can't remember ever playing in 2 pre-season tournaments - granted it's only two games a piece. I think that's correct, but someone let me know if we're not actually competing in two pre-season tournaments.

So, if we assume that we win and we play the more traditional powerhouse team in the finals, our schedule may include these games:

Kansas
Penn State
Cincinnati
Michigan State (Wisconsin/Indiana?)
UNLV
Florida
Purdue

We will be as good as advertised, and it is going to have to get a lot tougher than that, cause it looks like a "walk in the park" to me! ;)
As usual, we will get everyone's best shot, but the flip side of that is, they better give their best shot. I'm already excited, let's do it. :)
Go Duke!!

IF we are as good as advertised and there's little reason to believe we won't be, we should win those games but Kansas probably feels the same way. I wish we could play UNCheats the 1st game of the season so we could beat the dog sheit out of them early to show them what we have, set the tone for Cheats season. Damn I hate the Tar Holes.

After having Indiana in Cameron in the Challenge last year, I would think Duke has to go on the road this time. That will be a great early test in a hostile environment.

Isn't the Jimmy V Classic just a one-day thing? I could be wrong, but I don't think it's a tournament.

I think you're right, dukiejay. I just saw an article that implied that Duke would take on the Purdue/Arizona State winner, but I believe it is a one-day event when I look back at all the previous Jimmy V Classic games. Can't ever remember it being anything other than a one-day affair.

Yes. I'm pretty sure you can't play in more than one regular season tournament per year. At least, that used to be the rule.

UNC is in the Maui this year, and Notre Dame is slated for 2017. The earliest we could get in is 2018... 2016 features Chaminade, UConn, Georgetown, UNC, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. UConn, Carolina, Oregon, and Wisconsin should all be fairly competitive teams. I'd probably favor Oregon at this point.
