I'm pretty calm about it. I think the cats will lose five in the SEC and I think Alabama in Alabama is realistic. They could lose that one. I'm more focused on how the team performs in the game. If they show focus grip tough defense than 100% effort that's all I can ask for against Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

I may be wrong but it feels like an eternity since we won our first road conference game. I'm just going to enjoy watching us play again after such a long layoff and won't have high expectations for this one. More than anything hoping we see Lowe and JQ actually start.

If, IF...we are healthy and play d like we CAN, I like our chances against Bama. We should control the paint and rebounds. Hopefully we knock down enough shots to keep their d honest and our guys get in their jock straps on the perimeter, making it tough for their shooters all game long.

I think it'll be competitive either way as long as we play good defense.

I’m kind of the opposite. I like the break. I actually don’t enjoy watching games of teams I’m a fan of. Would much rather watch other games that I have no emotional ties to.

We’ve gone from “We should win this easily “ to “we could lose but if we show effort that’s all I can ask for”……..

I know they don’t. Thing is Bama beat the Johnnies in New York. It was a virtual road game. I’m not one of these saying we have no chance to win — I just lean Bama in this game. We haven’t shown two consecutive halves of good offensive performance yet this year and I believe that will be needed to win this game.

Contain their guards, run them off the 3 point line, make them run offense and we win in a close one. They're a terrible rebounding team.

Starting next year the maximum number of regular season games you can play is going from 31 to 32. They are predicting in the next four or five years that number may jump to closer to 35. The days of anything longer than a weeks break are coming to an end.

No, not at all. I’ve made a rule with myself to NOT pick a win for the Cats no matter what (superstition.) Also, I genuinely am worried about how we will perform in this game. If you aren’t I understand. Do you think we will win every game? You pick Kentucky every time?

Bama will score at will against our defense. We made Mich St look like Phoenix’ 7 second offense.

Can we score at will against their defense?

If we can score then we will win.

Will Pope have the team prepared to take advantage of their weakness?

Very unlikely. But we can hope.

You can twist it anyway you want everybody that read it understood what I meant. If you think we're gonna win every game, you're an idiot, but we do want to see progress with this team to ultimately be good enough to do something in March..

I think I tend to view it like you. At Alabama isn’t easy —- it’s a great opportunity —- but I’ll be looking for how we played more than the literal result. If we win, I’ll be over the moon, but I’m looking for elite defense and playing offense together with a purpose.

And they are weak on the interior. We now have a very strong inside game. If Bama makes less than 12 threes I think we win.

I feel really good about it. Pressure is on Bama and JQ will be a force to deal with. Also got Kam finally getting some confidence in his shot. Lowe will be back and Mo will be ready to take on his former team. Hoping we win but will be happy with us just being competitive.

We need to just throw Kam and JJ out there and let em get baptized by fire. I get JJ can take bad shots. But he’ll he could also win us a big game and put up 25 pts and 8 ast with 5-6 3’s. Kam is tall and long and can get that shot up over anybody. He needs to be the primary backup 3 and 4 and we can go different looks. Here’s where it’s real. Chandler and Noah. They can’t create their own shot. Noah won’t ever be that guy. Too bad he isn’t 6’8. But if they aren’t gonna make shots they simply don’t need to play. We need to act as if SEC play onward is a sprint and play Lowe 30 a game. If he gets hurt. Then he gets hurt. But if we want any chance at 9. It’s with him and JQ playing big mins. JQ should be ready to ramp it up to 22-25 mins vs Bama and we’re gonna need him to be rough as hell. Give us 12-15 with 8-9 plus boards and 2-3 big blocks.

So saying that I’d go….. 8 man possibly 9 if Chandler can get it right. Which. lol we’ll see. But this. Big mins for these 8. Not so much for others.

Then Chandler. But then a significant drop off as AJ will get bullied in the SEC. He’s not that good. Over hyped. Hope he leaves with BG. Both are terrible. And BG. So what. We have Mo D and JQ. Then Moreno and Kam. We don’t need him. 2 C’s make him expendable. Then there’s Noah. He may come in a game or 2 and make a couple open 3’s. But he’s not him. That 8. Maybe 9 man rotation is solid. Lowe. Oweh. Mo D. JQ. JJ. Kam can provide plenty of scoring. They’ll be space so esp. JJ. DA. Kam have to knock down open 3’s. We need a couple of those 2 to shoot 40 from deep here on out. LFG.

I always try and be fair with expectations heading into games. Is that a game we can. Win? Absolutely. Is it a game we should win? No. Its in their building and they will be favored. There aren't a whole lot of teams in the county that SHOULD win in Tuscaloosa

I'm nervous about Saturday's game. Not because of the win/loss factor, but because we should finally find out what kind of potential this team (full strength) actually has. I think it leans to the positive side, but............... and I'm nervous to know the answer.
