It's wild that all these articles this week think we've hit our peak in numbers, and we're only going down from here. I guess combination of boomers in developed countries dying, families only having 1-2 kids, and the fertility rates are causing this.
I say, good.
Not good. Unless nearly all segments of industry can be automated, we’re in for a world of hurt in a few decades once population decline is in full swing. Fewer working and skilled humans trying to support larger and older generations.
Would be crazy if true but it's well over 100 billion.I think I once read that half of all the people who ever lived are alive right now. Seems far fetched, and no I cannot recall where I read it, but if you think about it, even 2000 years ago, how many people lived in North America? 1,000,000 maybe? That is a wild guess, but still, 8 billion is an amazing number.
Thats a ish ton of people that dont know about the certain Papa Johns. Lets all pray for them.
Once all the world has heard the gospel of the Gatlinburg Papa John’s, John himself will return riding a white steed. It’s in the book of Matthew, I think.Thats a ish ton of people that dont know about the certain Papa Johns. Lets all pray for them.

You could be thinking of the "Malaria has killed half of the people in human history" but that's also not accurate.
Sorry, what's the WAG acronym stand for?Only 300,000,000 people were alive when Christ was born? I dunno, I read that link, and would have to think about it, seems like a lot of WAGs, which the link frankly admits, since there are no population figures available for more than 99% of the time that human like beings have been on Earth

or this guy....8 billion people in the world but think of how many more there would be if it wasn't for Glenn.

The way this reads seems to conflict with your initial post about how the people alive now constitute half of the total humans that have been alive. Saying "only 300 million" implies you think there would be more and that's a possibility.
Also, saying it makes up half would mean only 8 billion people existed prior and these people are now dead. The problem with that is currently you have around 70m people dying each year. Even if this number were only 10 million a year it would equate to 1b per century basically exceeding the number of people that have existed (the 8b you mentioned) in the past millennia alone.
Also, yeah the article says we cannot account for the 99% of the time that humans have been on earth but scientists can extrapolate and that's where the 100b+ number comes from.

No kids here and I couldn’t give less a touch about the people in that situation in 30 years lol, nothing I can do about it anyway. Not good.
