There is a stark difference...

...between what was and what is in Mountaineer football, and all of college football for that matter. Watched the 1993 game between Miami and WVU on YouTube today...thrilling. The atmosphere...the energy...the excitement are things of the past. Now more attention is given to NIL...media rights...transfer portal etc than to the game. The sport is a shadow of itself.

I agree.

It's really hard to get excited about the 2023 class being ranked #15 in the country when likely those players could be gone in 1 to 2 years.
