This was honestly the most disappointing season I've had as a Duke fan. We had some great moments that I'm thankful for (acc tourney champs/2-1 vs UNC) but with all the hype we had coming into the season, I can't believe how it all ended. Injuries, trips, drama, discontent... I don't think there's any way that our recruiting in the future doesn't suffer with how short of a bench coach plays. I get it, he's the GOAT for a reason and I won't question it, but it's just a real possibility. Oh well... Time to start looking forward to next year. Love this program and can't wait to see Duke back on the floor.
Granted, it was largely because of things outside of anyone's control, but the gap between the expectation vs. the reality of this season was painfully wide.
It's definitely not how anyone pictured it back in September....that's for sure.

Now, don't take that to mean I'm not frustrated....I am, but I feel as though this team had been climbing an uphill battle since November. While they got over the hump last weekend in Brooklyn, I still never 'felt' it, if you know what I mean. I'm more disappointed Duke basketball is over until next fall.

I'm thankful our guys were able to win an ACCT title, and to beat UNC 2 of 3. We had a lot of expectations, but the obstacles this team went through would have been difficult for any team to overcome.
The guys played hard, and gave us (at least me) some good moments this year. I'll remember that instead of the failures.
Goodbye Amile, Matt, Harry & Jayson, and probably Grayson, Luke, and ?Marques?. Thanks for the memories.

Agreed about "feeling it." The ACC tourney basically turned my skepticism into weary optimism but I'm not shocked by the result even if I expected a bit more.
The hardest part is knowing other teams are still playing and knowing such a great event is going on without Duke.
I was a believer after last week. Then again I thought the ACC would be running through this tournament
This is the only time I can say the adults(coaches), as it may seem, did not get a grip on all the possibilities a season with this talent, expectations and egos can bring.

As far as the NCAA Tourney goes now... I look at it this way now. I have 15 teams left in the Sweet 16. ABC Anybody But Carolina!
