It’s hard for me to imagine Pope rectifying this. He is simply unable to control the egos of players. He has no control over the team and therefore the program. Another year won’t solve anything but I’m sure the idiot in charge will give him multiple years.
You know, playing for their next paycheck could be why certain guys are trying to get theirs. No way to know if that's the case though.
They should make it so that the record you finish with, and how you do in the postseason, has an effect on how much you get paid. Guys would then start looking out for one another to get to the end goal. Instead of this $1,200 designer suit nonsense.
