A mobile QB is invaluable. Remember the days of option football? It would still work but have to have a decent Oline and a QB and running back that are willing to take hits almost every play.

Option football would not work today in P4 football. Nobody runs in HS anymore. To your first point yes a Mobile QB is invaluable.

I don’t know how TJ would have fared against Michigan. DR was under pressure on nearly every play, and had a pretty good game under those circumstances. 73%, 300 yds, 3 TDs. It’s been years since a QB put up those numbers against Michigan. My guess is that we lose that game more convincingly with TJ instead of DR that day.

Don’t forget we had a fortunate Hail Mary catch that makes that game seem closer than what it really was.

I think TJL and Mozee running the option 3-4 times per game would be a great change-up.

That's why it would work. Nobody today practices against it. They would be on their heels. Especially if you used it as a wrinkle like Osborne.

We also had terrible playcalling on our opening drive that basically cxld out the hail mary.

I agree this is the best the offense has looked all year.

The Defense is lousy still, can’t get any sacks, and can’t tackle anyone in space.

This up coming by week in my opinion is set up perfect. TJ got a full game of live action under his belt now regroup and 2 weeks to get more reps with the first unit and EJ a chance to refresh his legs.

Too much time I’m afraid to clutter his mind. We have multiple guys on both sides of the ball who need to heal up though.

It was a really great debut for TJL but no doubt Penn State is going to be a tough game (as well as Iowa).

A bye week will be a great opportunity for TJL to game plan before Penn State.
