Pretty much nothing....

The lack of tackling and the unaggressive play by the defense showed us absolutely nothing. Might have well have watched an Ivy League pre-season practice. I'm not bad with it at all. I don't want to see any injuries.

A few things I did notice:
Austin Dakota holds a lot.
Tay Evans was in his assigned area most of the time, but again no contact. He's 240 #'s, didn't know that.
We still have no replacement for Shep. My goodness the DB's were handcuffed all day because of the rules.
Dahu Green needs a light to come on. Two drops.
Austin Kendall has a beautiful spiral and moves well in the pocket.
Looks like the starting OL consist of Samia, Brown at tackles. Powers and Ford at guard and Alveriaz at center.

I don't think any conclusions can be had really, except Dakota Austin will be reminded he can't do all that in a real game.

Because of all the loosey goosey no one can play with the intensity they'd like to.
I've got a feeling the coaches can glean more useful intel by watching a closed scrimmage.

This has always been a showcase, teaser for the fans.

I received much more information on this team's personnel from the pregame show and the commentary during the game than I did the game itself.
As long as the coaches were pleased with what they saw, that's good enough for me.

I have no idea what to expect next season after watching today's scrimmage. I understand the concern with injuries but how do the coaches evaluate player's abililites when it's a no contact exhibition. Even Bob said it's hard to tell when no one is taken to the ground. Pretty much a crappy show. Disappointing. I seen better during Varsity-Alum games.

At the very least for the Red-White game, just suit up all the walk-on players and let them go full throttle. For the fans!!!!

Disturbing. So even though our WRs knew they would not be clocked, they had a case of the dropsies...great. But on the "instant analysis" AD Miller supposedly did OK. I can live with Westbrook, Miller and Andrews with Quick in on 4 WR sets (or just leave Flowers out there). Maybe we need to go 60/40 run this year.

Good to hear Kendall may be more than just a serviceable back-up. Probably the best news of the day and Riley seems high on him.
