Things that probably sounded like a good idea 100 years ago

Went to Ohio Stadium a month ago for a concert. You know how when you go to bench seats they are raised above the concrete it's attached to. 100 years ago they thought it was a good idea for the bench to be about 3 inches below the concrete so you had a tiny, little concrete backrest. You know why it's raised up now? Because the 3 inch back rest wasn't worth the not being able to squirm in your seat and after about 4 hours your butt really hurts.

I was thinking about starting a gofundme for this but it appears they don't do that anymore so I've already won because they've already stopped.

There's not a single sign in my neighborhood that says "In this House Love is Love, Science is Real, etc.". You know why? Because we have a HOA. That's worth the $100 a month right there.

$1,200 a year to be free from signage that you may or may not agree with? What a bargain!

I see those exact signs in my neighborhood, I read them and move on, and spend the $1,200 a year I save on wine and edibles. Who’s happier? 😆

Right-wingers used to be hard asses that I admired like Dwight Eisenhower, Barry Goldwater and John McCain.

Now they are snowflakes that are scared of yard signs, Black little mermaids, rainbow color beer cans, and going into a Target store.

How in the hell did that happen?

And the left used to be about free expression and civil liberties.

Now they are authoritarians who love COVID lockdowns, never-ending executive orders, and restricting free speech.

How in the hell did that happen?

Well Reagan never had to deal with half the democrat party wanting to groom children and cut off little boys’ dicks.

From what I can tell, everyone is a snowflake these days. Don't get me wrong, I try not to be an ******* about any opinion I provide, but even I have been accused of many things and it's usually just all projection. We live in a society of candy-asses, IMO. Then again, I'm a Gen Xer and no one gave an "eff" if we lived or died so we told our kids we loved them too much. [roll]

The single moms, soccer players with green hair, drag queens and teachers went to college, learned MMA and concealed carry.
