November, 1992 -- the X-Cutioner's Song was devastating the X-Men, the Ninja Turtles were having their long-awaited showdown with the Foot Clan, and Bane was setting into motion his plan to break Batman's back, but the biggest story by far was the Death of Superman in Superman vol. 2 75. I was 15 and remember the local comic shop being absolutely packed. Good times. :)

I collected comic books the summer I was 12. That was it, 3 months. I still have that death of Superman comic in the black bag unopened. Bought for like 15 or 20 bucks I remember. Probably still worth about the same. I also have a death of wolverine I think.

Yep, you can easily score a NM copy for 15 bucks. It had a gigantic print run but it's still one of the coolest comics ever, and I think every collection should have a copy.

I worked at a comic shop in the early 2000s and every once in a while somebody would bring one in to try to sell, thinking that they had a small fortune. Same with 1991's X-Men 1. XD
