This Coming Week +

We got invited to a wedding in CO this coming weekend, and elected to turn it into a a week + vacation. (The nerve of somebody to have a wedding on a holiday weekend AND to have it on the opening weekend of CFB.) I'm departing Tuesday morning, and won't be back until late the following Tuesday. I'll have my computer with me, and will check the board each day. But I won't be around anywhere near as much as is the norm.

I'll try to post a Game thread for PSU's game on Saturday. However, if it's not up an hour or so before the game, then one of you may need to step forward and post it. I'll do my best to post reminders on Pick'Em (I believe the slate for Week 1 should be posted on or by Tuesday of this week).

Please keep the discussions civil. If you think something that is posted needs to be tended to by a moderator, please post a reply in that thread indicating as much, and tag myself (@Tom McAndrew) or tag one of the BWI guys (@GregPickel, @NateBauer, @RyanSnyder), so that we don't overlook it. It may take a little longer than is the norm for us to get to it, but we will get to it that day.

I think I'm going to end up hiking around Red Rocks. I had checked their schedule in advance, but I probably only had 1 or 2 days when I could have gone to a concert there, and I wasn't interested in either of performers appearing those respective days. I know you like new stuff. That stuff doesn't interest me. To each their own.

I love CO. I've never had a bad time there, whether skiing or hiking and exploring, etc. I'll mostly be in the Boulder and the Ft. Collins areas.

She's kind of used to it, as I've been running boards since the 90s. She'll give me grief if I'm on it when she wants to do something while on vacation. But most of my checking is done in the morning or the evening, and I'm a night owl, whereas she is an early bird. Thus, most of the time i'm checking she's either asleep, or is doing something else in the morning while I slowly wake up.

Such a nice offer, and after years of knowing you on the board, it would be nice to meet up. Alas, my time in Fort Collins is already overbooked, and part of that is involves a tour of the New Belgium brewery with some of my wife's relatives. Hopefully, another time.

I here ya. If I had my laptop, I would go to a local coffee shop and spend about an hour going through and cleaning up much of my email, before anyone was awake. I hated returning from vacation to an overflowing email inbox. All for a happy wife and a happy life. Enjoy your trip Tom.

Relatedly, I’ll be attending a wedding in Mankato, MN. Wedding starts at 5:00, CST which means I have a good 2 hours between kickoff and having to leave for the event. Anybody have an idea for a bar to watch the first half at there?

across the valley from red rocks there is an amazing array of dinosaur bones and dinosaur tracks pretty much just there on side of the road. It's a pretty cool area to walk around even if you don't go to a show. One slab covered in Dino tracks of multiple species

You’re far too east. You need get out of Ft Collin’s and come visit us in the upper San Juan’s.

It’s really nice here this time of year. We’re getting visited by afternoon rains and nighttime bears.

Just remember the PSU game starts at 1:30 pm MDT …. probably during the wedding.
