Carr was mugged twice the last few minutes.
The game was far from over at that point. Spread def. still in play.Typical call by an incompetent referee. Nothing to do with the spread. Everything to do with thinking the game was over and wanting to give the star another basket.
Problem was it was followed by the absolutely ridiculous turn over by Amari
I was at the game. They would do things just to take the wind out of our sail. You could tell it was coming every time we went up 5-8 points.
In the critical part of the game in the last minute, please point out all the bad calls on Oklahoma.Officiating was bad both ways. We got some favorable calls as well. People only remember the bad ones, though.
This kind of thing is disheartening. It makes me not care about watching NCAA basketball anymore. And I've been a UK fan since
Ash, I have been a fan since 1959 and I stopped watching college games years ago. The way the ncaa has changed the rules and the quality of the refs has done it for me. I only watch UK games and that is hard to do also. This kind of thing is disheartening. It makes me not care about watching NCAA basketball anymore. And I've been a UK fan since 1992.
Chandler blood streaming diwn face no call, no review. Carr hit in the head grabbed by shoulders, reg foul. All those hits down the stretch, nothing.
Olgebsy should be investigated.

I’ve probably said this 100x on here when these threads pop up, but…
When fans come to accept the realization that the officials are in place to steer certain games in the sports gambling industry’s best interests, how games are officiated will start to make perfect sense.
Until then, let’s all just pretend that they are blind, incompetent, or have a bias against certain programs/ coaches.
Well I guess any foul could be a shooting foul. Maybe a player isn’t yet in the act of shooting, but he’s planning on shooting eventually. Maybe you’re in the back court, but your plan is to dribble down and shoot. Who cares if you’re 90 feet from the basket, make it a shooting foul. Makes about as much sense.
What about dude pulling Carr down to the ground? How was that not flagrant?
So - what are all the possible channels for a referee to come under formal scrutiny because of their calls?
The conference is the one I've heard the most - and i can't think of anything significant the SEC has done in response to evaluating referee crews (I could be wrong)
The NCAA?
Seems like it would have to be a much wider problem than calls in one game
Also - the NCAA isn't exactly at its most productive or competent point in history
State Gaming Conventions?
I saw the PA Gaming authority identify "suspicious" halftime movement on the betting for a mid-major game last year - they alerted the NCAA to help investigate -- which landed exactly where the NCAA ppl have absolutely ZERO skills or value
Outside lawyers or Stare AG's office?
Would have to be a compelling case where financial or reputations were harmed within that state right? We DID see State AG's jump in when the NCAA tried to punish UT and UF for how they established their NIL deals - they took up the challenge as an anti-trust violation
Surely - over time there would be a way to have ref's somehow investigated via the Gaming oversight type channels??
Unless of course THEY are equally corrupt
The NCAA & member institutions have an inherent Interest in ensuring gambling industry influence and associated profiteering aren't impacting & corrupting the management & outcomes of University sporting events
I would think we see some kind of national conference or university led efforts soon to at least to pretend that they care
i understand it's not a simple problem though
I think they'll let build up a huge body of compromised work, then find their fall guy(s) to take the sting out for a little while, without actually changing anything. It's musical chairs really. Whoever gets caught making it look the most obvious will lose their job, while the rest just keep on keeping on.
Bro...there was blood, without contact. There was guys thrown and pulled to the ground, with no technical. That was a dirty game! That strip on Carr picture floating around has like 4 points of contact, with a ref arms length away. Stop justifying.Officiating was bad both ways. We got some favorable calls as well. People only remember the bad ones, though.

Shut upOfficiating was bad both ways. We got some favorable calls as well. People only remember the bad ones, though.
Give me three examples of really bad calls that went our way.Officiating was bad both ways. We got some favorable calls as well. People only remember the bad ones, though.
Yeah I didn't even mention Owehs 3rd and 4th foul where the Offensive player clearly extending their arm out to clear Oweh out and was just standing there and got called for blocks both times. It was worse than the GA game and that's saying a lot.Is there a crew in the US that can call a UK game fairly? It would be interesting to see a game where we didn't get fouled constantly without a whistle, or the ability to be as "physical" (which is bullsht) ourselves on the other end of the court.
As far as I'm concerned the entire conference and their head of officiating should all be investigated from their communications to their bank accounts. We aren't the only team that's gotten the treatment. It's way past time there was some accountability.
