There are lots of things Id worry about if i had a daughter. Id worry about her being sexually assaulted, because that happens a lot. Id worry about her being the victim of a drunk driver, because that happens a lot. Here’s what I would not worry about: I wouldnt worry about her being attacked in a restroom by a trans woman because (a) it has never happened; and (b) trans women are the most victimized group of people I’ve ever met, and the least likely to commit a crime of indecency in a restroom, because they are afraid of getting beat up when all they want to do is pee. And here is something else I wouldnt worry about: I wouldnt worry about my daughter being cruel and inhumane to trans men, women or kids, because my wife and I have raised her to have values and because she is a kind person. There are things to worry about. and then there are things people want you to worry about to conceal their agenda of discrimination and hate. Wake up.

The funny thing is about the ppl getting all mad aboit this,if Trans ppl using the bathroom bothers you....have you ever seen a woman that is trans....you know is now a dude. Don't complain then when a rugged looking boy, who is actually a chick, and pribably into chicks, is in there using the bathroom with your wife then.

Good lord. Was this even an issue before the media started to divide us during an election year?

What restroom some tranny used wasn't even in the top 100000000000 concerns for me. Still isnt.

My suggestion is to go the restroom you look like you should go, pick a stall, pinch one off, wash hands, and GTFO. I'm willing to wager nobody would notice.

The whole thing is stupid but you better believe I'm using the women's restroom if penises are allowed and you better believe I'm acting a monkey pulling piss tricks and **** like we used to do back in the elementary days. It's gd mfn sexist as h that women never got to have a piss contest with the dudes at the piss trough.

I'm not worried about the trans people. I am concerned that all of these open bathroom policies have made it much easier for some creapy guy with a dick to make his way into the ladies room without anyone saying anything, cause nobody wants to look bad.

I find it interesting that people are willing to limit the freedoms of people in this country because someone MIGHT take advantage of that freedom to do something terrible when it comes to using a public restroom, which seems like a pretty necessarily thing for everyone.

But good lord, if you suggested limiting their right to own whatever sort of semi-automatic gun they want after someone ACTUALLY shoots up a school/mall/movie theater, watch out! How dare you limit someone else's freedoms because of the actions of a few?!?

Not necessarily you, UKGrad93, but it sure seems like a lot of the people who are "boycotting" Target for letting people use the bathroom they look like they should be using (as Bernie very succinctly put it) are the same ones who freak out about their "second amendment rights" after the parent of a first grader who was murdered at school suggests there should better procedures to keep guns out of the hands of crazy people.

For the record, I'm not anti-gun, I'm just amazed at how un-apologetically self-serving people are sometimes... And at how they'll post it all over Facebook.

All of my life there have been men's restrooms and ladies restrooms. People with dicks go in the men's and people with vaginas go in the women's. I assume that the system was around before me and is prevalent in most of the world. Why change it?

I agree with this. As I have been saying, America isn't ready at this moment for it. It will. Too much gender specific education being done in the household by parents. Gotta remember. 18 different schemas (belief systems) are set in place by the age of 12. Shame being a big big one. Going to take a nation of parents willing to disregard gender differences in the way they teach children.

My only is issue is (and I have stated before) that women who have sexually been traumatized by men (and it happens a lot) won;t see these trannies as women. Hyper vigilance and that woman is freaking out.

Other than that. Let people piss where they want. I wish we could piss outside. That's kinda ******** if you ask me.

Well.....a while back it was fine that women and minorities were not allowed to vote...and a mixed race couple was unheard of.

Thankfully we have moved on.....

Seems like by this logic there would/should never be any social change.

I hate to break this to you, but there is a very small percentage of the population that has not been using the bathroom in the manner you described above... probably for a long time.

Hormone therapy, surgery etc. has made it so you don't notice that it's happening, and it all was fine and well until places like North Carolina make it illegal for these people to continue doing this. Now people who are not the least bit feminine, and may damn well have a full beard, are suppose to use the women's room in those places. And that's a huge problem for those people because if they've transitioned convincingly enough that you apparently didn't even realize this was happening in the first place, then people are going to be really upset when they start using what looks like the "wrong" bathroom.

Actually, being transgendered has nothing to do with sexual orientation. Two completely different things.

Our country is disappearing at an alarming rate.

Now more Millennials alive than baby boomers. (recent). It'll be okay after your dead. Not much you can do Cawood. What kind of expectations did you have upon your deathbed? Utopia?

"Okay after I'm dead" not sure what you mean.

Meaning our country isn't disappearing, it's evolving and it will continue so. Long after dead we have no idea where **** is heading... All I'm saying is just enjoy your time here. I appreciate what you put here, but one day both us are dead. Grim world I know.

I used to work at a place that had to update their policy on this, and the email ended with, "at some point we have to all act like responsible adults about this". I didn't realize how difficult that could be for some people.

Other than times when someone was dropping an embarrassingly loud deuce, I'm not sure I can remember the last time I even noticed someone else in a public restroom.

It's pretty much a quest to not look anyone else in the eye, to avoid conversation, and to get out of there. Like a good Navy Seal operation, it works best if no one even knows I was there.

People are weird.

Here is what we need.

1. Stalls in every bathroom. No more urinals.
2. Doors that close all the way with no gap in between the door and the wall.
3. Doors that are tall enough to not see over and long enough to reach mostly to the floor.

At some point someone decided taking a piss/crap was a private thing. Let's make it as private as possible and the problem is mostly solved.

Don't want your little girl to go to the restroom by herself because there might be a big faux-tranny in there? Go in there with her. If there is a large man with a beard standing there looking all menacing, turn around and find another bathroom. The same thing I would do when I took my boys to the bathroom when they were younger. "Oh, look. That appears to be a shady character. Perhaps we will wait this one out."

Some friends that work for a grocery store chain told me that their new stores are being built with several one-stall type bathrooms. For example, 6 bathrooms, each has a toilet, sink and it's own door that locks. Very nice. They said that the construction cost isn't that much more than the traditional multi-stall bathroom and that they are easier to deal with when it is time to clean them or make repairs. Only one is shut down at a time vs the big multi-stall suite. As stores are re-modeled, they are converting to this option as well. It solves a lot of problems.

I have no idea what y'all mean. I want equality for all. One bathroom. Urinals. Stalls. That's what the people want, and damnit I pray to god they get it because there are females out here who have never had pissing contests, imo. They probably have no idea how fun pissimg can be, and I want them to understand that.

In the outdoor world they have these pissing cups like a fake penis the girls pee into and it allows them to pee lke a dude. I bet that is so fun for them. Let them enjoy the urinals! What a blast for all.

Why don't Target just add an extra bathroom for transgenders? You then can choose the one that best fits your need.
Yeah...let's make everyone cater to everyone's personal choices. Let's force folks to spend more of their money so some folks that are so fragile that they can't use a bathroom designed for the plumbing they have.
So tired of this nonsense.

Since this seems to be an issue at Target, I'm gonna just avoid the bathroom there. I'll be pissing in the dressing room.
