Given what a mess the football program is, one year removed from the Big Ten Championship game, it’s oddly comforting to follow the basketball program, precisely because it’s in full-blown rebuilding mode. This season is all about growth, with the brighter days and big wins in the years to come. We needed this.

So far, we've scored more points in one exhibition game than the football team has scored all season, so there's that...

Bball.. a couple really good recruits and show decent development of current players will mean a competitive team in 2 years. Expectation .. play hard.. win a few conference games.. NIT next year.. NCAA bubble team in 2 years with competitive games. Graduate players... Collins long term shows he is right coach like Fitz.

NU probably will be able to count their combined Big Ten victories in football and Basketball on one hand. At least, I think the B Ball team will improve as the season progresses. The new guys will be fun to watch develop.

I noticed they're serving Nashville hot chicken sandwiches at WR this year. Can't wait.
I was in Nashville for my son's engagement party and learned the story behind "Nashville Hot Chicken"
It seems a man was unfaithful to his wife. She learned of his amorous ways and planned revenge. She prepared chicken with toxic amounts of cayenne and other hot spices, served it to him expecting him to gag. Instead, he told her that it was the best chicken he had ever had.

Hattie B opened a restaurant and has been serving "hot chicken" ever since

It was Prince's, not Hattie B's. Thornton Prince was the womanizer; his niece runs the restaurant today.

Here’s the actual story of Prince’s. Good read.

Hattie B’s is a chain founded by opportunists. It’s gonna get huuuuge.
