The Paddock became something else. Some watered down tame thing. A petting zoo for children. And when they looked down and saw what they had done it was too late. Soon the people passed on by unnoticed. Neither good nor bad. Just nothing. Years later when I tried to remember I could not. It had faded to a vague shapeless nameless dream. It may have never been a thing at all.
