No, not at all. We'd have a better shot with someone like Lincoln Kienholz, who we did offer, and any former soft commits that we've had in the previous three years. Kewan Lacy is at the top of that list for me.

Apple had some really bad financial years in the 90s before Jobs came back. It just needed the right leadership and visionary to make it what it is now, even stronger then its original glory days.
Yeah but nobody at Apple had an 8 year guaranteed multimillion dollar contract without any performance requirements. Maybe they get a fraction of their expected salary in a severance package if they underperform over a year or two. The only thing more obscene than coaching contracts are CEO contracts.
