But I have never seen a UK team, in nearly 50 years in being a fan, that doesn’t give a sh*t.

Well this is the team.

Body Language, lack of communication, finger pointing, bitching/complaining and utter lack of pride for the name in the front of the jersey.

This is an utter ******* disgrace owned by the Board of Trustees, Mitch, Pope, the assistant coaching staff and most importantly these professional athletes.

Even Pitino on probation, you loved the teams because the fought and had heart. You knew they were going to lose, but they fought their asses off for the name on the front of jersey.

This team is a disgrace.

The 2021 team was by far the worst team in UK history. Just totally unlikable. This team has a key part missing. A floor general point guard. Couple that with some bad shooting and they look really bad at times. When shots fall, they then start to look better. I do not see that getting better throughout the year. If this team is going to have a winning SEC record and make the NCAA tournament it will have to grind its way to reach that goal. Even when Lowe was healthy, he was not a true floor general. If Chandler and Williams start hitting 3's are a more consistent pace the team will show some slight improvement. I agree this team is not a fun watch. It is a grind to watch them play basketball and it will be all season. Mark Pope wanted to improve upon last year's team by becoming more athletic and better defensively. I think he thought he achieved that goal, but Lowe was not who he thought he was and then he got hurt on top of that. Johnson is taking longer to develop than I think Pope thought he would. Johnson has the ability to provide both athleticism and 3-point shooting. He just cannot run point at the college level at least not at this time. So, prepare to wear your seatbelt each and every game because the grind will be very bumping the remainder of the year. Hopefully in the end they can grind their way into the tourney somehow and hopefully Pope can fix the point guard problem next season.

They looked like they cared in the second half. Whatever Pope did to round the team into form, do that. That looked like the team that beat Purdue in October and what it should look like currently
