The original line was nearly even... "idiots" were betting against the huskers because of the freshman qb traveling across the country...the original line comes from the "smarts", the "idiots" cause the line to drift. A lot of people lost money, the "smarts" made money...that is the point of gambling. If gambling made money for the average man, it wouldn't exist. The bookies also likely have more information than the average fan...like these UCLA players are banged up but still playing, this guy just broke up with his girlfriend, this guy has a cocaine habit, this coach sucks in this area specifically, the team was sick....don't gamble.

I was sober. My prediction was wrong and I own it. Lateef impressed me with his poise and calm demeanor. I am happy for the kid and the team. It doesn't change my opinion of Matt since he almost pissed it away again. However, a win is a win, and now let's hope they keep up the momentum with Penn St. The booze will probably be flowing for that one, so I might look like an *** again when we lose. Easier schedule on one hand. Better offense (run game makes a gigantic difference!), a step backward on D (which most of us saw coming d/t losses up front, plus injuries in back), and YUGE improvement on STs (Ek!!) on the other.

Last year, we gave up 20.8 pts per game and allowed 5.3 yards per play. This year, we have given up 21.3 pts per game and allowed 5.1 yards per play. We're doing it differently and probably not in the way that most prefer, but we're basically holding serve on D this year. I actually really liked our run D on Saturday. Our QB scramble D might need some work, but no one can doubt Nico's skill in that department.
