If anyone gets a chance to listen to the Thomas Gilman interview on Flo wrestling please do. It is rather long but a good couple minute segment on him leaving the NLWC to go to Oklahoma State and his thoughts of Cael and Cody. Penn State is so fortunate to have these guys leading the way of the wrestling program and I am not talking about the wins and loses. Just listening to Gilman on how appreciative he was of Cael and Cody on how he was treated while at PSU and after leaving. I know Cael gets the pick of the litter when it comes to recruits but if my son was being recruited there is no way I could not turn down Cael and it has nothing to do with wrestling, its the culture, leadership, and bettering ones self.

He said very good things about his Penn St experience. I like T Gilman. Was hoping he would say good things and he did. Def was not as ‘friendly’ of a report on Iowa. Maybe he comes back someday. I bet he would in a heartbeat.

He really seemed to be a hothead at Iowa.

He became likable at Penn State, and continues to seem likable at OKSt

I listened to the whole thing yesterday. He still feels like he is an outsider at PSU but at this point I don’t consider him an outsider. He might not have competed for Penn State at the NCAA level but he was a valuable asset to our guys who did while he was here at the NLWC. Just like the coaches he’s a part of Penn State.
