that at the game last night: the loudest, most crowd-involved moment happened when the Hartford player missed their 8th free throw of the game. Free Chick-Fil-A's !!!

I mean I took my kids there for lunch today and it was delicious. It was the one positive from the game ;-)

"Interesting" is one way to put it.

I'm incredibly down on the NU fan base lately. I know it's a bad team, but ... and I'll just leave it there.

(Edit: Well, maybe not.)

I'm really tired of "fans" who don't do dick or ABSOLUTELY go out of their way to kill the team they supposedly support. It's such a systemic problem at NU.

Since I'm not really in any other school's fan base, I couldn't say for sure, but I would guess this isn't unique to NU.

There is no right for unquestioned support. That’s a Cubs thing. The REVENUE based teams should only get outlandish support when they put out a good product and effort. Any argument to the contrary makes me ask why such loyal fans are not out supporting the swim team, the chess team, the fencing team?

NU as a school will have my lifetime support for giving me an education and an experience preparing me for the world. I will always root for NU related things to succeed. But pick and choose when I want to be an overly supportive fan of the REVENUE based teams when I feel they deserve my revenue.

The over the top excitement compared to the rest of the game, for a free throw freebie, is not a NU thing. It’s pretty much every team.

Having watched another athlete leave the program, I’m absolutely sick of an admin that seeks monetary commitment without any interest in a winning product or input from those giving money. Screw their revenue drives. Put up, hold a couple townhall type events or shut up.

I gave once. I held MBB season tickets for a short time. But I stopped. I won’t blindly throw money or bandwidth support for a program that seemingly works harder to not be competitive.
