Solid effort and ball movement in the first half. Crisp
Good shooting and confidence in the first half
Balanced scoring and lots of guys contributing

Last 5 minutes...yikes
3 straight missed free throws on 1&1’s
Any one of which would have iced the game.

We escaped, kids were excited to have the win.

Loved the game until the last 5 minutes. Collins really has to stop playing prevent offense. We need to run the normal offense and not try to milk the lead. It kills us every time and almost did tonight.

The students got free sandwiches though. Accordingly I tried to get my daughter to come up to no avail. That darn library!!

It was still better than some previous games. Kopp got some pretty good looks. Not much consolation, as it was against Short and light Nebraska. But still better than the terrible shots we found down the stretch in previous games.

The pressure to win what may be your only B10 win with the prospect of hanging up an 0-fer for the year...has got to be some heavy, heavy pressure...combine that with the lack of experience on the team,,,,,and Mr. Tight as the coach.....and you have the last 10 feet of a cliff dive.!!!!! glad they made it and didnt land on a dolphin. But also think this group has the makins of a pretty good chili in the future.

Amazing the difference it makes when some of those open shots fall instead of missing. I like the development from the young guys.

Seems in the last 5 minutes we become totally a perimeter team with not attempt to go to the basket

Scoring 20 points in a half against Nebraska, the worst defense in the B1G, is not good. They create problems on offense but, defensively, they play 4 guards. Maybe you can make a case there’s a stretch 3 in there.

I’m sure the coaching staff is worried about and working on it.

Zone was an ok choice against a team solely of guards. Packed it in with length and we created problems. It’s still garbage as the norm. Just like it was against Providence, worked, but not because it was well executed.

It’s not the time to dwell on it. But we came close to, had we lost, this board going bananas over how bad everything is.

Ultimately winning was great. Though losing would not have erased seeing Beran impressing.
