Looks like it's going to be a perfect fall weather day for football. Anybody have any predictions or keys to game?

The key to the game is gonna be how we tackle. If we can engage AJ Dillon near the line of scrimmage and then gang tackle then we can get them in uncomfortable down and distance. If he gets his normal yards per carry then it’s gonna be a long day because they will keep moving the chains.

I’m predicting a UofL win 27-23.

Agree with Hank, we have to be good on tackling and get off the field on 3rd down. Can't let their running game wear our defense down. We need to win time of possession and no silly turnovers.

Cards 24 - BC 21

Definitely have to stuff the BC running game and then hope that Anthony Brown doesn’t hit many big throws downfield, because we will have a lot of 1-on-1 matchups in the secondary. BC is very balanced offensively and frankly has a more potent offense than we do. We have the better defense in terms of yards allowed (BC gives up almost 100 more yards per game), BUT BC has forced many more turnovers than we have.

Assuming that we at least come out close to even in turnovers, I think both teams should be able to run the ball. Whichever team has the better, more consistent performance from their QB is going to win this game.

Looks like BC's rush and pass defense are both pathetic. No turnovers, time of possession, minimize mistakes and grab an early lead. I don't want a barn burner.

No turnovers against BC will be a huge advantage for us. BC’s defense is giving up a lot of yardage, but it is also #3 in the FBS in interceptions with 8 on the year. And I think what that points to is that their offense is so consistently good that their opponents tend to get desperate and force things in order to try not to give the ball back to that offense.

I feel our offense will be OK. I'm worried about our run defense. BC seems to have a balanced attack that is set up by the run. We stop the run, we should win the game assuming there isn't a ton of turnovers.

BC’s run defense is bad. I’m talking lower tier. If we run the ball well and don’t make costly mistakes, I like our chances.

This game might end up looking like a game from 1970, Off tackle, Off thee other tackle , pitch, punt LOL.

We’ll be in trouble if they have their way with us running the ball, their qb is not bad so their running could open things up for them, have to meet their rbs at the line.

I didn’t realize how crucial this win is for us if we want to go bowling, gotta get this one especially at home. If we can’t win this I don’t think we’ll make it to 6-6.

3 ranked opponents after this one, then 4 50/50 games to close out. Yeah, I'd say it's pretty crucial.

I'm still traumatized from last year's run defense, and scared to death of seeing a repeat of AJ Dillon (and pretty much everybody else) running roughshod over us. Strong running games scare the hell out of me, and BC has both a strong run game and a serviceable passing game as well. Yes...I am skeered. :(

Yeah, pretty clear costly mistakes have hurt us at crucial times, Pass’ fumbles against Nd, Malik’s int at FSU, and missed coverage against FSU on their drive to take the lead back. Wouldn’t hurt if our defense could come up with some turnovers.

Dillon has over 300 yds rushing his last two games, that’s enough to scare any defensive coordinator. We gotta put the brakes on that guy.

Nice vision there. I'm seeing a Cards D pick and D fumble recovery for 2 TDs. That's my visionary crystal ball. :)

I hope you’re right. I’d really love to see Burns get an int and into the open field, that kid has some wheels, he’s impressed me since his Trinity days.
