1Pope will cave to the pressure. 2Look his self in the mirror tonight and make some serious changes. 3Be fired very very soon if 2 doesn’t happen.
If Pope keeps losing he will be fired man1. Him resigning is the only way (aside from an improbable scandal) that he isn't coaching next year.
2. He's lost. He doesn't know what changes to make.
3. You have Mitch as AD, and we just fired our football coach. We would have to lose out for Pope to be fired.
The logic side of my brains agrees. The emotional side waves its finger and points to a picture of Mitch standing next to Joker, another former UK player turned coach. If Pope keeps losing he will be fired man
If pope wins a couple then loses a couple he won’t be fired. If mark Pope goes on a five or six game losing streak get your popcorn ready. He won’t be fired for losses unless it gets to the point of 6 or 7 in a row. I really believe that.I will bet you any amount that Mark Pope won’t be fired this season or after this season simply for wins and losses alone.
Barring scandal or anything criminal, Pope will be coaching for his job next year. Mitch doesn’t fire his coaches for one bad year. He fires them for two bad years consecutively or for cause like BCG.
We’re just gonna have to live with it. Carry on.
In the past, I would have agreed that he wouldn’t get fired at the end of this season considering it’s just his second year. I’m not so sure about that now though because of all the money that’s involved with NIL.I will bet you any amount that Mark Pope won’t be fired this season or after this season simply for wins and losses alone.

It’s row, not rollIf pope wins a couple then loses a couple he won’t be fired. If mark Pope goes on a five or six game losing streak get your popcorn ready. He won’t be fired for losses unless it gets to the point of 6 or 7 in a roll. I really believe that.
I believed cal would be gone at the end of the season like he ended up. Believed stoops would be gone like he ended up. I believe Mark Pope will be only if he loses that many in a roll.
The thing is…. I don’t think he will lose that many in a roll and 100% will be here next year unfortunately.
Yep. How OP and others don’t understand this amazes me. What lineup change would make this team a contender, let alone mediocre? None. There’s literally nothing he can do with this group of guys he recruited and boasted about. This season is over. No change can make us a good team. We play vandy and tenn twice. Fla twice. @ARK. We will lose 14 games this year. Its over johnny
You can thank auto correct. I’ll correct it for you tho. And whoever does the next game thread you better get that **** right too lolIt’s row, not roll
I think a losing season will do it. And he’ll flirt with that for sure. As others have said, it may be time to root for the Cats to lose from here on out. Pope needs to go.The logic side of my brains agrees. The emotional side waves its finger and points to a picture of Mitch standing next to Joker, another former UK player turned coach.
Two of the three options is Pope not being here so I fully understandYep. How OP and others don’t understand this amazes me. What lineup change would make this team a contender, let alone mediocre? None. There’s literally nothing he can do with this group of guys he recruited and boasted about.
Fact is Pope is a mediocre coach at best and this roster is devoid of legit talent and skill.
And the worst part? Pope will be back next year, as will some of these players, and it’s highly unlikely that the roster will be any better. Sad times.
Ok. The second option indicates that he can make changes and weather the storm. I think that’s just not a realistic possibility. Two of the three options is Pope not being here so I fully understand

Going into the season, based on a deep dive into the statistical backgrounds of the players coming in, I did not think we would be as good as last year's team. However, I did think we'd be a pretty good team, certainly much better than we have shown. Even the wins over Indiana and St John's are slowly losing any luster they may have had. Barring a seemingly impossible turnaround, this season will continue to be very disappointing ... unfortunately. This season is over. No change can make us a good team. We play vandy and tenn twice.
