Three point shooting is not effective if you are not
-Positioned for rebounds
-Having good ball movement to get open shots
-Forcing the ball inside to make the defense collapse on the ball

High percentage 3 point shots is not just good 3 point shooters, but getting those guys good looks.
Keep working on those basics.

I have always felt anecdotally that shooters make a higher percentage of shots that are passed out to them from the lane as opposed to passes swung around the perimeter. I believe it is because they are catching the ball in a position that is already square to the rim without having to turn to look for the pass and that it also more closely simulates their shooting reps in practice where they usually have somebody under the rim throwing it back out to them.

As far as I know this has never been studied and I could be completely wrong.

That is excellent insight. The same is true with an open three after an offensive rebound

I think the 3-point shooting percentage of our opponents after an offensive rebound has to seriously be over 75%. It’s the most cringe-worthy thing about our play.
