I really like the BYU story and they are fun to watch but I feel like I trust Bama more to give Duke a better game in the Elite 8. So, feel like I have to pull for Bama. Rooting for Florida as long as Duke is still around. Same for Auburn. Torn on who to root for in the Purdue/Houston game. While I do think Houston would be the tougher matchup if we get by UT, I also think Houston is more capable of beating Duke if we fall short. Definitely rooting for Houston if we fall short against UT.
I love Pope and I think he’s the perfect fit for us so far, but can’t help but wonder if BYU fans are thinking they came out smelling like roses with Popes departure?
Ended up working out well for both of us for at least this year.
They have a massive NIL warchest and are primarily bankrolled by the billionaire Utah Jazz owner. Carrot Top could probably win 20 games if he coached them.
edit: I'm partially joking, their coach is an ex-NBA assistant and has done a good job. But they have the infrastructure to be really good for a long time. Tons of big-money boosters.
