That is massive news. Many questioned whether we would be able to hold on to his commitment. He had offers from ALL of the big names. Great pull for Coach Brohm.
Now I'm excited because this means he will indeed be a Cardinal. Was always concerned he could flip before arriving.
However, I'm not so sure how much he will actually play this season. We're talking about a kid who just turned 18 and should be in high school. Serious injury chances are why a lot of freshmen redshirt, especially with such a physical position like LB.
Now maybe he's an outlier and will perform like a seasoned veteran, but the odds are not so likely. I'm sure the coaches will be leary of playing him a lot, especially when there's several experienced and talented LB's on the roster.
It's usually a skill position true freshman who comes in ready to play, not a reclassified linebacker. But he wouldn't be doing this if he wasn't told he would get the chance of playing right away. So we will see.
