2018 SEC Baseball Community Service Team Announced
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (May 16, 2018)-----The Southeastern Conference on Wednesday announced the Community Service Team for the sport of baseball. The conference names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.
Kentucky – T.J. Collett, 1B/C, So., Terre Haute, Ind.
Heavily involved with N.E.G.U., the Jessie Rees Foundation for kids fighting cancer. Has coordinated weekend trips for N.E.G.U. families to Kentucky Baseball games, as the team recognizes them during the game and has them spend time with coaches and players beforehand. Additional community service work includes: Thanksgiving Turkey Delivery, Joy Jar distribution, Breakfast with Santa, Backpack Program, Miracle League, Louisiana Flood Drive.
