I have called a few of them "A bunch of mothers" every so often.
So perhaps they are trans?
Adding this just because. During his last days he would repeatedly express how much he was looking forward to being reunited with my mother. O'Neill: "A kind, brave, sweet man. There was never a braver or finer."My dad was widowed at 39, left with five kids aged between 5 and 12. Me, one of them. When I drove home from defending my dissertation I stopped by the post office and mailed him a postcard, “Dr. LionJim now, more your honor than mine.” He’d attend Mass daily while he w was retired, may God rest his soul.
Friend of mine without kids texted a bunch of us with “all you guys with a bad pull out game, today’s your day”
That is an awesome story!I had my kids late in life and I lost my father early at 71. One of the saddest things in my life is that my dad didn't live long enough to see my kids grow up. My daughter was 10 and my son was 6 when he died. My 10 year old daughter actually stood up in front of 150+ people to give a eulogy. My father would have been so proud to see what they've become.
If you'll bear with me.... My grandparents were sharecroppers. I grew up poor but I didn't know we were poor. My dad worked two jobs and I used to beg my mom to let me stay up until midnight so I could see dad when he got home. My dad built our 1st house by himself on weekends. No carpenters, no masons, no electricians, and no plumbers. Just him. When he was terminally ill he told me that he'll never forget the pain from driving nails into oak floor joists (no soft pine back then) after having to run a chalk line and plane the joists (that didn't come precut from a factory). He was self taught and started his own business when he was in his 40s. He struggled to keep the business going through tough times but it finally grew to 40+ employees by the time he sold it. He was a true American success story and my hero. I don't think there's a day that goes by that I don't think of him.
