Today we find out if our beloved Cats finish the regular season undefeated as they prepare for the only true post-season for Kentucky basketball. Here' what I'm hoping for today.

1. Another solid effort from the Cats as they head into the NCAA Tourney. A loss would 100% not be helpful at this point and IMO might hurt. I think we are fine there, as I expect UK to win this game by 12-18 points, and run up Arkansas out of the gym once again. Look for our front court to dominate theirs, and our back court to have another good shooting day as they hopefully figured out Bridgestone's rims yesterday. Finally, Arkansas' players and coach have no respect for UK and continue to show an arrogance that irks me and no doubt irks our players and coaches. Well today UK is going to kick their asses again, and send these little piggies back to Arkansas to watch and to see what 5/12 game upset they are going to be a part of in te week coming up in the NCAA Tourney
2. I'm hoping for a Wisconsin victory over Michigan State. Opinions vary on if the committee closes up shop Saturday evening or not (History for UK sure as hell shows they do), but just in case they don't, go Badgers. A Badgers win SHOULD (it is the NCAA we are talking about) secure Wisconsin a 1 seed and avoid them in our bracket as the toughest 2 seed in NCAA Tourney history.
3. I'm hoping for fair, balanced brackets from the committee for all four regions. It won't happen, I'm dreaming, but a man can dream can't he? I'm hoping the committee uses common sense over pure mileage/geography so UK does not end up with Duke or UVA as its 2 seed (assuming the above about Wisconsin is true with them a 1), and instead gets the KU or Gonzaga team they deserve as the top 1 seed. If that happens look for UK to get ND as its 3, and so on, as the committee will stack the Midwest as always.

GO BIG BLUE!

Finally, significant/meaningful bball begins...with the schedule coming out tonight about 7:00 and the real games beginning Tuesday night. Everything to this point has been as meaningful as mlb exhibition games. Now the real stuff begins.

Other than the bowl season, the next 3+ weeks are as good as it gets.

when we win today, this team's destiny will be guaranteed to be one of two things:

(1) The most impressive season in college basketball history

or

(2) The biggest NCAAT bust in years

And that hives me chills.
