This game is not only important to this season but it could define how this team will grow and progress for many other season. A win tonight could be they defining moment where the players, coaches, and fans finally realize that this team has turned the corner and is now ready to become more of a player in the SEC.

This game could very well give the players confidence that they can, not only compete, but defeat other programs that have always been above them in the pecking order. It can help shape how we perceive where this program is heading.

I know it is only one game against a former power that is also struggling to right their own ship, but in the past, we have almost always lost these types of games. A win tonight could springboard our Wildcats to bigger and better things in the future.

Next year we have almost all the pieces back to a potential season for the ages. The schedule is in our favor against teams like Florida, Tennessee, and Louisville to where, not only can we win but should win. And it all could start tonight.

I think most fans in the stadium tonight will be thinking pretty much in the here and now meaning a win will be a step to maybe a much better bowl game this season. But, I agree with you that it may mean much more for the entire program and the seasons ahead. Recruiting could really be on a boom (in UK terms) and the confidence builder you mention for this team would also be enormous. This is maybe the biggest game of the season and possibly for the Stoops ear so far. Hope we come away with a big win tonight and use it as a building block to much greater things. I'm going to be there tonight and I'm really excited already this morning, don't want to have to face a big letdown (if we lose) and feel the crowd will be electric in Commonwealth tonight.
