My vote is give him a call and Pay him big on a three year contract. He’s 67 with years of NBA pedigree as a coach. With NIL and the portal the NCAA is NBA on crack now IMO and we need a coach used to handling players who get paid. Even if Mitch doesn’t want to part ways with Pope then create a Bench Coach or position and bring him in. My two cents after watching an awful display of UK Basketball.

Thibs is the complete opposite of Pope . Thibs plays the hell out of his starters while Pope doesn’t care how good the guys on the floor is playing he’s going to sub them out .

He’s someone actually available. We aren’t pulling anyone from another school in NBA team currently. The delusion coaches are knocking down the door with the current state of our program baffles me.
