He is right about one thing. The media doesn't do their research on these things.

But to me you need to show me on the field because of what I have seen past 4 years has not met any standard of the past. Even Holgorsen could accidentally win 7.

We all need to stop pretending and accept the reality of the situation. Unless he wins 8 games this year, it’s time for a change. There’s no excuse to have such low expectations going into year 5.

I think we will be better than most expect. I think will finish middle of the pack in the big 12. Whether that win/loss total is enough to satisfy the masses remains to be seen. I do think we will be bowl eligible at the end of the season.

I do hope you’re correct.

I think if we are significantly. Improved in the defensive backfield we will have the opportunity to take a step forward. I think the defections to the portal in the spring of 2022 doomed last season. Its why the staff paid particular attention to that area in the offseason. I have also read up on quite a few of our opponents and I think a good many of them are overrated and will take a step backwards.

The more OOC games they win the better chance they have. Win 2 games then you need 4 in the conference to make baby bowl.

With this roster, if he wins 8 games, he might be coach of the year. So I guess I'm saying very slim that 8 wins will be reached.

Don't kid yourself. If he goes 6-6 and all games are competitive then he will be here another year.

It certainly helps he doesn’t play Texas, Kansas State, Kansas, and Iowa State. And WVU plays all 4 newcomers. However, they also have Pitt and Penn State. I’m not being pessimistic, but I only see a max of 5 wins on the schedule. I certainly hope I’m wrong.

Bowl games just aren’t what they used to be. I wish that wasn’t true but it’s just the way it is.
It's now make the playoffs or you're just in a scrimmage game with a team of whoever decides to stay and play.

Both thing are true. He has to win. Media doesn't really know what it is talking about. This is proven to some degree every season.

I think we will go 2-1 occ. The Pitt game is the key but most of what I have read on them most feel they are weaker this year than the last two. Their offense is their strength, but their defense lost 6 key starters that's hard for a program of that caliber to replace. We should have beaten them last year and where Home this year. I know last year has nothing to do with this year, but I say were going to take them.

The Pitt game will be the key occ game. But like I told another poster most of what I read on them indicates they will take a step back this year. They lost a lot of key players on the defensive side of the ball. I think we take them at home. Oklahoma and Texas Tech are the only two teams we play this season that might be better than last year. Everyone else will take a step back. The majority of teams that will be better are the ones we don't play. I think we get to at least 6 wins with this schedule.

Neal Brown is a 5-7 win coach from what I've seen. I dont expect that to change no matter how long we stick with him. He might get to 8 every once in a while, and as low as 4 every once in a while as well. But basically he's a 5-7 win coach in the B12 and that is what I expect this season as well, and hopefully that'll be the last.
