I have a one word solution “PRESS”. Personally, I think having a lot of options and quality depth is a good problem. The football team sure would have liked to have that problem at DB, LB, WR….

With all the new "emphasis" of the referees today, a full-court balls-to-the-wall press like we did years ago with "Press Virginia" is not possible. We would literally give up 25-30 points per game at the foul line, which would not be good.

The game is geared towards more offense just like football. Now football has figured out the defensive side and offensive numbers are slowing down for most teams. It will take basketball a few more years to catch up with the offense.

Right now officiating has to much say in games. Just about everything knew is a judgement call.
