Curious, who did you pull for in the UK/OSU game? No flame, honest question.
@HenryMuto

Also intrigued.

I know you’ve explained it over the years and there are legit reasons/connections to each team….but curious of the hierarchy. And also curious if it changes based on sport (UK over OSU if they meet in basketball but flipped if they meet in football etc)

No hate or questioning fandom at all…just an interesting dynamic

Anything less than 12th is a slap in the face. 15th or worse and they really do hate us. ESPNS power rankings just put us at 10th. Us against the world.

If the goal were to project what our seeding will be on Selection Sunday, taking into account how we've played up until now and injuries, I could see us as a 4 seed. It's reasonable to think we will be losing more than winning until the tournament.

If the objective is to make a bracket based on if the tournament started tomorrow, we are a 3 seed at worst. We are 15th in the NET and 8th in WAB and have more quad 1 wins than anybody not in the SEC.

Espn has us as a 3 seed. Playing in Cleveland. In their scenario, they have us playing the winner of Illinois-Arkansas / San Diego St game.
They also have Georgia and Arkansas in the 11 seed play in games. Gag.

Based on quality of wins UK should be a 3 seed.
this

which I also said pre season is where we would end up. I'm happy. give us a 3 seed anywhere this year. I'd take that right now.

but according to their own quality of win metric.... it hardly gets better than what Kentucky has done.

And please, do take injuries into account as well please, NCAA selection committee.
DO THAT

Palm's top 16 look pretty bad for the 3 and 4 seeds. He is going to miss some teams.

He has MSU as a 3 seed I am not sure they even make the top 16 at all.

He has Memphis and Ole Miss as 4 seeds. I see no path for Memphis to be in the top 16 today. Their NET is like 43.

Good post. It's really gonna be tough sledding as long as Butler and Jrob are out.. not to mention Kerr and Carrs nagging back issues. I wouldnt be shocked to see us drop several more games and probably slip to a 4 or even 5 seed.

Now healthy, I of course think we're a top5 team, but unfortunately that isn't the case. And at present time, with these injuries, we're more in the high teens early 20s. I hope the team proves me wrong, and it would be amazing to see if they do.

Will be interesting to see how the NCAA factors that in.

Spoiler alert they won't. Your record is what it is and they are not going to discount 100 different teams for injuries at different times of the year.

The only time injuries are a factor are mainly when one of the teams best players get injured and are not coming back then they will evaluate your team and knock your seed down based on the games played without the player if they have enough sample size.

We will get ZERO credit for not having Butler, Robinson, Carr, ect in games we lost.

And you may be right.. I guess my point is that the NCAA and SC always seem to keep some ambiguous wiggle room when it comes to injuries on Selection Sunday, as you said. So will things change if Kentucky gets healthy? Or on the other hand, if Butler and Jrob were to be done for the year, do we get dropped a bit because the notion that UK isn't as good as they were previously?

I seen the clip where we might expand to 76 oh my that be ugly. I could almost stomach 72.

The thing about expansion if you were going to do this they need to let more mid major teams in

The problem all SEC teams will have is the number of teams that get into the NCAAT. Teams will probably get lower seeds than usual to avoid first round match ups. I don’t see them up seeding them unless absolutely unavoidable.

I expect to see 3 #1 seeds, 2 #2 seeds and 1 #3 seed on this show right now for the SEC

Auburn, Alabama, Florida as 1 seeds
Tennessee and Texas A&M as 2 seeds
Kentucky as a 3 seed

Sure hope I am right about Kentucky but the high up wins outweigh the number of losses in my book

The top 8 were as expected the only unexpected part maybe was Houston being at 8 instead of 6 or 7 overall

Pretty much everyone had these are the 1/2 seed teams

Time to go on over to the clown show which was CBS podcast Friday Gary Parrish and Norlander saying Kentucky would be a 4 seed and Parrish having them at #15 overall and they said "The losses matter" HAHAHA I posted on their site last night "Gary will be way wrong on Kentucky and I will be back tomorrow for my flowers"
