Versatility on the defense end and ability to stretch the floor
With Williams, I worry about the physicality some with him. Also, the shooting is still somewhat theoretical at this point shooting 31% 3P (3.5 attempts) and 60.5% FT (3.2 attempts) on the Adidas circuit this summer. He was 0-5 from 3 at NBPA. With that said, his trajectory has been pretty significantly pointed upward over the past 10 or so months. I am intrigued by the defense, especially off the ball both around the rim and in the passing lanes.
Upside player who has started to produce over the past little bit. In this 2026 class, a class that is down across the board, there is value in an upside guy, especially one who continues to up his production. I’ll be curious ultimately how close he will get to his ceiling. Also, I’ll be interested to see how hard the staff pushes for Williams.
