Seriously...no one has mentioned Daniel Day Lewis?

Worthless thread.

even so, and though a superb talent above others, Mr. Lewis' overall body of work is small, well-known for his pickiness in roles. Or maybe he just doesn't like to work a lot? Hasn't done a major picture in almost 1/2 a decade. Daniel Day Lewis' performance of Bill Cutting one of the single, most-greatest performances ever captured in a moving picture, a performance he went 5 years without a movie role (Danny Flynn - Boxer). These were two very interesting roles, as they depicted Irish social struggle on two different continents, two much different eras. My opinion, his best work.

It is odd that he is so without in movies, as the role he accepted in My Beautiful Landrette (tremendous movie - again, powerful social conflicts the central theme) indicated a certain "willingness", although at a much younger age.

He wants every movie, every role, important - like no other actor

Troll better.
Just curious, why do you consider this a troll post? I mean the definition of a troll is an agitator or someone who invades a forum just to start arguments or to promote their own agenda. This seems like a pretty innocent post. I think the word "troll" is overused these days by people who really have no idea what the meaning of the word is. Just an observation.

The way I would answer this thread is by thinking of those 5 actors, if you were to remove their contributions, those 5 that would impact Hollywood's body of work most:

James Stewart
Bogart
Cary Grant
John Wayne
the 5th spot is difficult to choose. I go with Paul Newman

Hey just trying to figure out what upsets people. I mean come on there wasn't any reason to call this guy a troll. I see these threads on here all the time so what's the difference? Just curious. Not trying to be difficult.
