Saw this question posed on another forum, but what would you consider your top 5 (singles) finishers in wrestling? They don't necessarily have to be devastating maneuvers, just the finishers you liked watching being executed more than any other? (You can list more than 5 if you wish).

1. The Razors Edge (crucifix powerbomb) - love the hell out of this move. Even though Razor Ramon was a heel, I'd cheer for him just to see him hit this finisher.

2. The Perfect-Plex (bridged fisherman's suplex) - Not sure why I loved this move so much growing up, but I remember being in awe as a kid watching Mr. Perfect hitting it on Hulk Hogan and then seeing him kick out of it on Saturday Nights Main Event. Still one of my most vivid memories of watching wrestling as a kid.

3. The Tombstone Piledriver - An awesome move that had tons of showmanship and really helped to sell the Undertaker.

4. The Sharpshooter (scorpion deathlock) - Probably the coolest looking submission move ever, although it didn't hurt to be put in one, it looks like it'd hurt like a sum-beetch.

5. The Figure-Four Leglock - Probably as basic a move as you can have on a list like this, but it is so iconic, and since it was in the repertoire of the greatest ever, 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair, I felt it needed to make the list.

Honorable Mention -

Sweet Chin Music
Shooting Star Press
Moonsault
Stone Cold Stunner
Jacknife Powerbomb
Rude Awakening
The Lion Tamer

I was always partial to Paul Orndorff's pile driver. Haha, it didn't matter if the opponent was laying in a coma, he was going to pile drive you no matter what.

Thank goodness no one has said Hogan's Leg Drop. Quite possibly the second lamest finisher, lamest would go to Steve Austin before he started using the stunner, the Stun Gun.

I always thought the best finishers were the ones that could come out of nowhere (DDT, RKO, SCM, Stunner, etc. etc.). It adds an element of surprise to a match without it looking too contrived (see: the worm).

Still, this one looked the most painful:

Talking about Orndorff's piledriver, and Jake the Snakes DDT, it's amazing that these moves were once considered finishers. Wrestlers use them now as base moves, lol. I remember back in the day, if either of these guys hit you with those, the match was over. Now guys kick out after them on the one count.

BTW, Harley Races finisher for years was your basic suplex, and I think there were guys who had simple dropkicks as their finishers too.

Baron Von Ranschke's Claw

You knew he had it locked and loaded when he started goose steppin'..

Magnum TA's belly-to-belly suplex, Dusty Rhodes' bionic elbow has to be up there, as well as Kerry Von Erick's* abdominal stretch.

Nominee for worst finishing move: Ole Anderson's arm bar.

*The Von Erick claw was also a viable option for both him, and his brother Kevin, who if you remember, wrestled barefooted. Their father, Fritz, who like the Baron, was a master of the claw, so it's no surprise they were too.

Going Old School here...the Ox Baker heart punch

I remember the first time I seen Steiner hit the "Frankensteiner" I was blown away. Might have been the first version of the hurricanrana I seen.

Lex Lugers torture rack was impressive for his physique and the era

I always liked The Great Kabukis green asian mist he spit. Very few opponents could overcome the blinding effect.

Brutus the Barber's Sleeper hold, then cut your hair. Never was there a greater finishing move.

The mist thing was so gross. I've got a spit thing, though.

There had to be so many times where guys would just be like...."Dammit no, Jim, I'm not taking that **** in the face again. It got in my mouth last time."

Typically the "Mysterious green mist" as Gordon Solie would say, was emitted before the bell rang.

Yes but he also used it during the course of most matches and it usually ended the match.
vs. one man gang

vs. killer Khan

vs. Rick Flair

many of the Japenese wrestlers used the mist during the course of a match including Muta and Tajiri
