Trailer Park Boys Season 9

I liked this season a lot. I've enjoyed both new seasons and have been pleasantly surprised at how they've been able to (mostly) recapture the magic.
I do have some issues with it, though....the main one being the over the top use of older jokes and schticks.
For example......Ricky this season. Some of the situations / scenes they had him in (the Goldie talk from Bubbles, pissing on an electric fence, piss jug bombs, etc....) just seemed kinda try-hard to me. We all love that type of comedy and it is a pillar of what they do....maybe I'm just tiring on it. They've got interesting characters / arcs to utilize, I don't need to see as much of the slapstick ****.
They went there with Lahey too.....but I love Lahey so it wasn't as irritating as Ricky was. I will say, the scenes with him in the blue liquor tub had me close to vomit a few times, no ****. Just watching him wade in it and how gross he looked.....pretty crazy. I did love Private Dancer.
On the whole, it's a situation where I'm happy they came back (and very excited for 10 and 11) as opposed to being pissed off they ruined the legacy. That's really all you can ask for with the foundation they built with the original run.

Yeah, last night i watched two of their movies. "Say Goodnight to the Bad guys" and one of their Christmas specials where Lahey had a plastic bag on his face to look like Santa's beard and got drunk and turned off all the power in the park so they couldn't judge the Christmas lights contest.
