Williams evidently is not going to play another down for OU. So come January 18, classes begin OU and classes began on January 10 at USC. If Williams is going to transfer to USC shouldn’t he have already enrolled? Or can he attend OU for a couple of weeks then transfer to the school of his choice? Just seems like all these kids should be attending classes somewhere.

Good question.
If CW is to play at USC and decides this weekend or later, I'm sure he will get preferential treatment by USC or any other school he decides on to enroll late.

You’re probably right.

Speaking to the nil, where did Mario land from his portal entry?

There is always a late enrollment period at universities. The allowed time is the variable.

Can OU get Dart to come and either redshirt or back up Gabriel ? He's too good to do either and Ole Miss seems like the better fit.
That said, it will require OU to recruit its future QB for 2023, with or without Arch Manning.
Or maybe Chubba Purdy can be had if Dart goes elsewhere.
I just can't see Dart with a clip board on the sidelines this fall.

I have heard that Purdy is prone to poor decision making when in action. He didn't get much interest from schools in this part of the country. OU can do better than Purdy.

I would give that a triple “LIKE” if possible.

Purdy played for a 5-7 Florida State team with a poor O-line in front of him. Having to throw under pressure can make a quarterback making poor decisions.
I prefer Dart, but I logically think Ole Miss would be a better fit as long as Gabriel is a Sooner.

Gabriel hasnt thrown a pass in competition since breaking his clavicle. No telling if he's going to be the same guy. I can see Rucker making a push for the starting job is Dart doesnt head to OU.

It might be that Evers is next in line....but the more I think about it, the more I want either Dart or Purdy with Evers redshirting.
Rucker may be a surprise.

Purdy's decision making issues started before he got to FSU. He was a 4 star out of high school that did not get much attention.

Gabriel came to UCF as a 3-star and a 5.7 rating in 2018. Lebby developed him into an elite QB.
Purdy came to FSU as a 4-star and a 5.8 rating in 2020. Now he has Lebby to coach him.
I believe OU cannot lose either way with Dart or Purdy.

Let me check with Lori Loughlin about the admission requirements at USC, and I'll get back to you....

And don't you think Lebby can develop Purda into a good player?
It does not matter what I think. It's about the depth of Purdy's abilities (or inabilities) and Lebby's coaching skills to overcome or eliminate enhance/overcome them. I simply conveyed hearsay of Purdy's decision making issues with added comments about the lack of interest by leading universities out of high school.

You make a good point on his recruitment to FSU. While he had, according to Rivals 23 offers, only FSU, Louisville, Michigan State and 3-4 other average teams pursued him.
I'm only saying that because OU is looking at him, there must be some reason and Lebby may see him as a player that can be developed....in other words, a "project" player.
I absolutely prefer Dart, but when I look at things from his vantage point, I see Ole Miss as having more opportunity to step in and start.
Ultimately, and especially if Dart goes elsewhere, I think Lebby will go hot and heavy to get Arch Manning next year.....a player I would judge as OU's highest regarded QB recruit since Jack Mildren in 1967-68.

Like his brother...but will give him benefit of doubt with better coaching. Seems like a good kid. I feel old just saying that.

How much actual NCAA playing experience does Purdy have? And how many years has he played? I’m hearing not much and not much. I may be mixed up, but if not aren’t there better choices?
