Sounds like a thoughtful young man who rues a hasty decision 2 years ago. He has good first year stats. Hope Dildy can deliver.
Who is "Dildy"?? Am I missing something?? Is he one of our assistant coaches??

Former NU target, Clifton Moore, Leaving IU.
Let's get him! I think if we get some of these transfers, we might be really good two years from now! Improved next year for sure, but dancing again soon!

Yet he rarely saw the floor in Bloomington. Shows how dire the 5 spot is in Evanston going into next season.

With Young and Benson, dire might be right. But Jones gives us reason for hope. Will he adapt as quickly and play with the passion of Pardon? That’s the big question. But his physical tools and skills are definitely big time. Better than Pardon. A universe better than Benson.

Count me as one who thinks we may be pleasantly surprised by Young next year.

That tells me nothing. Care to share something more than “ I believe Young might possibly do better than some might possibly expect ... though I have no idea what those possible expectations might possibly be. “

Well, he was redshirted, and redshirted bigs generally perform better since they are a year older.

Not based on any inside information whatsoever, and I'm not predicting All Freshman B10 Honors or anything. I just think expectations are really low for a guy who redshirts at a program who traditionally doesn't redshirt anybody (tried with Pardon but Olah's injury precluded that attempt), and watching some tape of him, he can hit the 3 from the top of the key, has the ability to put the ball on the floor and drive to the hoop, has some nifty finish moves around the rim, and can pass the ball. Will he wow with his athleticism? No. Is that required to be a really good player? Also no. Let's see next year, hope I am right that he's a pleasant surprise as a player that nobody seems to expect much from.

Moore rarely played. When he did, he wasn't bad. Not sure why didn't get a few more minutes. Very limited, like many Hoosiers, on the offensive end.

Will have to sit a year. I've not heard any circumstances that would get him immediate eligibility.

Moves well.

Creative on offense with his moves, uses both sides of the backboard.

Doesn't seem to mind contact

I’m curious, where did you see him play. I went to 10 plus games and only saw him in layup drills, in which by the way he looked quite coordinated if that means anything.

Private team scrimmages. BTW ... I have offered no opinion regarding his potential. Am taking a wait n see approach. Which is rare for me. So much will depend on what is expected of him by CCC and how he is used and how far he progresses with his physical development.

You were spot-on with your Nance evaluation.
