Carmody didn't have all these transfers. Is this the new normal? Necessary evil? The BT is insanely competitive! But,I'm afraid Northwestern, with it's Ivy League academics,is not the place to develop basketball players who impulsively want the pro dream kept alive! No matter what!

A big part of why I rarely post on these boards - after having been a fixture for the better part of 15 years - is that, right after I finish writing something, I ask myself, "Will anyone actually care if I hit the post button or not?" More often than not, the answer is "No." So I close the browser and move on with my day.

Threads like this make me wish more people would do the same.

I think it is a good post. Especially because I was also a student athlete at northwestern who considered transferring. Oh yeah! I was good at my sport( lettered and was fifth in the prestigious Illinois Open, where I lost to an AA by a point) . Also was an economics and student teaching/ education major. Who only took four years to graduate and attended U Penn PhD program on scholarship after finishing my first MA at age 25!
