It is a three hour drive from Maryland to Rutgers. Would the team just stay on the east coast under any circumstance?

3 hours only under the best of circumstances. I-95 is a traffic nightmare. Anyway, don't the kids have classes and a chartered plane to take?

They're welcome to stay at my house and explore Washington DC. I will be showing 6 Nation matches on the weekend for a change of pace

Just a hunch, but classes and assignments are often on line. My daughter reminds me that I’m a dinosaur for thinking that colleges are brick-and-mortar buildings.

Then why is the cost so high?

NU seem to invest pretty heavily in glass and aluminum though.....something like $220 Million for the new Kellogg Global Hub building!!!
